We often never think about the things we use on an everyday basis, or at least not past what goal we need to achieve or deadline to meet. How long have people been using cellphones, mp3 players, televisions, automobiles. The list goes on and we have certainly made great achievements in improving old inventions new ones are always happening.
Digital Music Player: Invented by British engineer Kane Kramer in 1979. He never commercialized on the product, but Apple recognized the importance of his work - and they certainly have.
The Smart Phone: The first smart phone was created by IBM engineers. They called it "simon" and weighing around 700g it featured a touchscreen as well as email and fax capability. What is a fax again!?
Tablet Computer: Invented in 1968 by Alan Kay. He thought up his invention called the Dynabook an ipad-esque tablet computer designed for kids.
And finally, where would we be without Digital Animation. Created in 1965 by a Charles Csuri. As a painter and part of the art faculty at Ohio State University, he began to use an IBM mainframe to make his drawings move, morph, and animate.
This hummingbird animation (to the right) is one of Csuri's well known and widely exhibited animations.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier - DELAYED
The much awaited game Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has been delayed, we will have to wait even longer for its release now. The company Ubisoft has made an announcement that instead of the planned release date in March; it won't be hitting stores until May 22/24 (US/UK).
If you just absolutely cannot wait, you are in luck. In April a multiplayer beta version is supposed to be released. But if your a PC gamer, then I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news - but you'll have to wait even later than the May date to start playing.
Hopefully the extra time and hard work that is being put into it pays off. Some have been awaiting game play since the beginning of 2010, only to wait longer and longer. The game itself is loosely based on real "Future Soldier" programs, conducted by the United States and its allies. With the goal of the U.S. Army to give its soldiers the best equipment and communication technology.
